How the Remediation Script Works: The script checks if JWCrypto is installed using pip show and extracts the installed version. It compares the installed version with the known vulnerable version (1.5.5). If the installed version matches the vulnerable version, the script proceeds to upgrade JWCrypto using pip install --upgrade. After the upgrade, it checks the version again to verify if the update was successful and outputs the result. If JWCrypto is not installed or not vulnerable, the script simply outputs the corresponding message and skips the upgrade.
