How It Works: The script first retrieves the current version of Twisted installed using pip show Twisted. It compares the version with the known vulnerable versions (less than 24.7.0rc1). If the installed version is vulnerable, the script runs pip install --upgrade Twisted to update Twisted to the latest secure version. After upgrading, the script prints a confirmation message. Running the Script: Save the script to a file (e.g., remediate_twisted.py). Run it in your Python environment: python3 remediate_twisted.py This will automatically detect and upgrade Twisted to a safe version if it is found to be vulnerable.
