❗ CVE-2024-49075 is a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability in Windows Remote Desktop Services that allows an unauthenticated attacker to disrupt remote access by sending specially crafted requests. This vulnerability can cause resource exhaustion, rendering the service unavailable to legitimate users. Exploiting this flaw impacts the availability of Remote Desktop Services, potentially affecting business operations or individual access to remote systems.
ℹ️ This mitigation script performs the following actions:
Disable Remote Desktop Connections:
Updates the registry key HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server to disable Remote Desktop (fDenyTSConnections = 1).
Outputs a message confirming that Remote Desktop connections are disabled.
Stop and Disable RDP Service:
Stops the Remote Desktop service (TermService) to ensure it is not running.
Configures the service's startup type to "disabled," preventing it from starting in the future.
